so...i am not doing the garter or bo-k thing for reasons that i wont get into. i wasn going to do the anniversary dance but my grandparents are in their 80s and they have mentioned looking forward to dancing at my wedding but said they wont make it on the floor for too long with their bad knees and all... So...i dont want them to be the last ones having to stand thru a long song when it may be hurting their legs... SOOO... i want my band to just make an announcement at some point during the wedding to acknowledge that on January 22nd (a month before our wedding) they celebrated a 60th anniversary. they are actaully having a big party at the pompei where we had our LIW shower, I also at this time want to present my grandmother with my bo-k...
my question is....when do you think is the appropriate or best time to do this?

Re: OPINION NEEDED
I would say the whenever the Bo-k toss is. Present it to them and then maybe dedicate a song to them.

Re: OPINION NEEDED
Why don't you make it part of your last dance and join your grandparents with your FH. Maybe you could find the song they dance too.

Re: OPINION NEEDED
I would ask your DJ or Band when you normally do the Garter/Bok toss to do it then & after you present teh bok to them i would use their wedding song for them to dance to. But maybe just a minute or tw for them.

Re: OPINION NEEDED
I would do it after the parents dances. I also LOVE the idea of having the dj play THEIR wedding song - very romantic and sweet.

I really like the idea of doing this beautiful segment right after the cake.

Re: OPINION NEEDED
Depending on the time flow of your reception, I would do it earlier so they aren't tired
