Opinion on Engagement Pics...

E-pics aren't in our package, and they would cost $300 extra. We've already sent out STDs so we don't really 'need' them.

Would you pay the extra for them? I would love to be able to work with our photographer as kind of a test run for our wedding, but I would also like to use that $$ elsewhere.

Opinions?

we did not do e-pics. we have so many pictures over the years that i didn't see a need for more pictures.

my mom had a professional photog at my shower so we got some really great pictures that night.

i think its nice to have pro pics of you and fh, for 300 i think its worth it as long as its in your budget

The most important thing is making sure you're both comfortable with your photographer...if you dont like the $300 pictures you wont like the $2,000 (or whatever) pictures

Personally, I wouldn't waste the money. Epics were included in our package but honestly, we didn't want to do them. We did them b/c we wanted to get a feel for the photographer but it definitely wasn't necessary. But we haven't done anything with the pictures.

i like this idea more than epics!

if u dont need them for like table numbers, or anything else. id skip em. we didnt do em and i dont think we really needed them.
orrrrrrr maybe have a friend or somebody take pics of u guys somewhere nice...??? just a thought..

Since you've already sent out your std's I would say the pics aren't very necessary unless you plan to do photo table numbers or a photo guest book. We didn't send out std's but we used our epics for our guest book and our photo card box.

If it's in your budget and you want a test run, then I say go for it. I've never even heard of epics until I came on this site. I'm happy that I did mine though, but they were included in our photog package.

I would get the engagement pics especially if they are only $300. But thats JMO. Plus FH and I really don't have any pro pictures together. So I guess it's really whatever YOU want.

Nope..If they were included. We ended up paying like $150 extra though for prints and such since only wallets were included. If I had to do over again, I wouldn't.

Save ur money for something else you don't need epics

FH didnt wanto to do them so we removed them from our package. I then decided I wanted them but FH refused to pay for them. So I went on craigslist and found 2 photographers who are doing them for free. So I get my photos and FH gets his free.

ITA...we parted ways with our first photographer because we didn't like our epics.

I personally wouldn't do them at this point.

If you don't want them don't pay the extra money - we only did ours b/c it was something free he was throwing in as a promotion he was doing at the time otherwise would never have done it, not a big fan of the whole idea in general...
