Opinion on gifts received waaaaay before the wedding?

So FH and I got back from Toronto last night and at his parents house were a few gifts for us off our registry. The cards say engagement gifts. We got a gorgeous tray and our new sheet set!!!! So opinions on two things:

We should definitely be sending thank-you cards for these gifts now, right? Not waiting til after the wedding?

And - can I start using our new sheet set already? I'm dyyyying to and since they were an e-gift and not a wedding gift, thoughts?

Yes, definitely send out thank you's now for e-gits ... Also, OF COURSE use the sheets!

i would send the thank you cards now to acknowledge that you've received the gift, and i would def use the sheets if you want to!
