Okay. . I know there has been stuff on here before.. but how many of you are using inner envelopes? They came with my invitation but it just seems like a lot of unecessary work to address another whole set (though the idea of extra work bothering me at this point makes me laugh)
so to use or not use the inner envelopes??? Discuss
TIA!!!

i personally feel they are a waste and just add to the stamp postage!

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
Whenever I get them, I throw them out!
I could understand someone doing it who is very traditional, I'm not so we decided not to spend the money.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
I am doing them but I dont think they are required. The first invite I was going to do didn't have one and I was fine with that. I changed my mind and the new invite has them and the price diff is minimal.
Anything that means more work and that is not a necessity can def be excluded. It is totally up to you!

I am not using them, but I have pocketfolds so they're not really necessary.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
It's really not necessary at all. I did not use them because I spent $$$ on the invites to get them exactly the way we wanted and they came out absolutely beautiful. I got lots of compliments on them but NO ONE said 'OMG no envelope liner?' It does look nice but we decided we rather put more money toward our favor donations than kill more trees

08er Crashing. The original way to package envelopes shows how formal your wedding is. I think when you change things it can be looked ta as you're having a less for,mal wedding.
JMO and what others esp older people have told me.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
We are using them, and addressing them as they traditionally are. My mom wants to, and she's paying so, she gets the say.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
I am using them - not really addressing them. Just putting the guests' names on them - not the full addresses.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
We used them. That way there was no confusion as to whom in that particular family was actually invited to the wedding. We got no surprise guests.

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
I will not have an inner envelope - I don't think it's necessary nor do I think people will think your wedding is less formal. Do what you'd like - it's your wedding!
I am doing pocketfolds and rather than having one more place that says 'Kelly and Tom', we decided to personalize the outside tags and put our guests' names on them. So I guess we will have the effect of what the inner envelope is typically used for - to put who's invited.

I did it because I am traditional and had very formal invites.
If that doesn't matter to you though, don't do it!

Re: opinion on inner envelopes
We are not having inner envelopes. Instead the response cards will be personalized.
