What do you ladies think about providing a space for 'email address' on the RSVP card? I am going to be able to send my wedding highlight video out to all of my guests after the wedding via email and I thought that the best way to get everyones email address in order to send it to them would be through the reply card.
Thoughts? Is this tacky or what?

Re: Opinion on RSVP
I personally dont think its tacky. I personally like applying technology to RSVP cards. I think its pretty cool.

Re: Opinion on RSVP
I don't think its tacky but I might suggest including a second insert card to ask for this--that way you have a place to explain why you want it.
But the idea in general is great! I think the guests would love to see the video!

that's a nice idea! I never thought of that! cute! I do agree with maybe sending the second card out though with a little blurb on it so people understand why you want it

I agree. Or another idea is to maybe provide something at the wedding where guests can fill out their email address (maybe a separate book near the guestbook?)

i also like the idea of a second insert to the invites to explain this.
i would not put this info on the RSVP

Re: Opinion on RSVP
I have to be different
You know in most cases you will get the RSVP card back so I think it's a better place to ask for the e-mail. the card is big enought to put a short sentence about sending the highlights on it.
a second insert might get lost in the shuffle, with direction cards, invite, envelopes etc . . and some people . . it might not dawn on them that they need to send the e-mail back with the rsvp!!!

Re: Opinion on RSVP
i would just put it on the RSVP card. i was invited to a wedding once where they asked for your food preference on the RSVP - it had a pic of a cow, a pig, a fish, and a carrot on it.

i think this is a better idea. if i got an rsvp with no explanation for it i would think its really weird
