but why dont you ask her to use the gold for the last name and the blue for your names so your names stand out more

It's actually dark purple (violet)...but comes across bluish on the screen. lol.

Our main color is eggplant, and no gold...but we wanted something that matched the wedding and would match our house. So that's why it's more purple. If we had more gold in our wedding that would def be an idea

I just was emailing back and forth different things to try...so she sent me a few different proofs. She was going off one Plaque that me and FH saw that we really liked.
