i just thought of a great 'favor' idea for my guests...
i've been spending a lot of time surfing catalogues and websites trying to find a favor that will be useful and fun for everyone that attends...and i just couldn't find anything that i loved
so i was thinking of picking up $1 lotto tkts for each one of my guest and put them in a little envelope with a lucky penny and place them at each setting...
who doesn't love lotto tkts!? and +, it'll let everyone have some fun and possibly win some $ - the best gift of all!
thoughts/opinions? what do you girls think!?

honestly, i wouldn't do it ... if somebody wins the jackpot, i'd probably be pissed if they don't share with me lol
but if you're not greedy like i am, then it's a good idea

I agree. It depends on how greedy you are lol. I gave a scratch off ticket to my cousin once (who I like, but dont like THAT much) and she won $250 on it.
Also, my parents used to own a card store where they sold lotto scratch off tickets. One day one of the annoying customers came in that they didn't really like and she won $25K on a ticket. Not that they could have prevented it b/c they are the merchant, but could you imagine your 95 year old great aunt winning 'win for life'?
it's totally up to you - if you love the idea, then do it i just know it wouldn't work for me.

lol.... or maybe i can ask that IF someone does win, that they donate 50% of their winnings (if substantial) to the cancer society...
my FH lost his mom to breast cancer... so that way, we can honor her and they still can win something.

I think that's such a cute idea! My sister went to a wedding once where they did this and had a cute poem to go along with it....I doubt she still has the card, but I'm sure you can google something to put with it

personally, in my family and FH family, they expect really nice favors, so i would never just be able to give a lotto ticket - although it hink the idea is cute. they would probably throw the ticket in my face.
i would probably do like the ticket and something else.
