So, my FSIL thought that we were going to supplying limos for the bridal party to get home. We supplied limos for both of our parents to get around every where the day of the wedding as well as home. Are we supposed to supply limos for for the bridal party too??! My FMIL said NO and she has never heard of this. Everyone in my bridal party is either married, or in relationships so we figured they were going to want to go home with their partner. Well, my FSIL thought that their boyfriends could be dropped off to our location so that they could all 'get wasted' and take a limo back. I think this where I put my foot down. I understand that they are younger (22, 24) BUT I don't think they realize how much money a wedding cost! I am so over all of it! My FMIL said that she has never seen so much drama before with planning a wedding! haha.....what are your opinions? Also, my wedding is over at 6:30 and is only 4 hours....

No def not I have been in like 6 weddings and I have NEVER been provided a limo home. When I wanted to 'get wasted' (lol) I stayed over at a hotel that I either got to via shuttle or I took a cab.

That's not your responsibility at all! I would suggest having them look at a hotel nearby or get a cab home

What did your FH say about your FSIL wanting a limo for a ride back home? This is the first I ever heard of this and even your FMIL is saying no. Smh! Kids these day =/ I think it would be best if you suggest to FSIL they can look into either a hotel nearby the reception or cab it back. Plus you are having an early wedding, so she can continue on her drinking escapade on her own time and at her own expense. Sorry for being a little abrasive but this is your day not a day for her to use as an excuse to 'Get Wasted'

Totally agree with all of the above. I've been in a million weddings and have never been provided a ride home unless there was a shuttle back to the hotel. If she wants to 'get wasted' she can pay for a cab. That's the price of responsibility.

I agree with everyone else - it is not your responsibility to provide transportation home. I've only had transportation home if I planned it myself or was in a hotel shuttle.

Thanks guys! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't loosing my mind! My fh does not think we should be supplying limos for his sisters either. So we will not be...gosh so much drama! Thanks girls!

Absolutely not. I think it is a different story if you or your hotel was providing a shuttle service, then they could get a room and take the shuttle and get as wasted as they want. But door to door service? No...this is about you. If they live that local, Im sure someone has a mother or a brother who is willing to pick them up. Why do people think the first thing to do is ask the bride????

I also agree with this! I personally think your FMIL should handle that drama since it's her daughters. I'm going to be providing a drop off for my 2 younger sisters, but it's only because they won't be having dates so they'll be going in the car home with my parents. But the bridal party is Def responsible for their way home!

Thanks everyone! My fmil did tell her no it doesn't work that way. I was taken back by the whole situation. I couldn't believe they thought we would be supplying them limos. Apparently they thought they got limos bc our parents are getting limos...
