Opinions and Advice Please

My bridal party consists of my MOH who will be 25 at the time of the wedding, a bridesmaid who will also be 25 at the wedding, two junior bridesmaids 8 and 13 at the time of the wedding and a flower girl who will have just turned 8 three days before the wedding.

Do you think it would be appropriate for the 13 year old to wear the same dress as the BM and the 8 year old JBM to wear a differant dress? Does the dress indicate what part of the bridal party you are?

My 13 year old niece is taller than me, and she's not a small girl. (She's not fat or anything, she's just a broad girl)
She has to order a bridesmaid dress b/c when she went looking for a JBM dress for her uncle's wedding they found nothing that came in her size.
I don't care if I technically have to call her a Bridesmaid if it's an issue I'm just trying to figure out what to do.

The wedding is in a Catholic church so none of the dresses will be too sexy or anything like that.

I plan to have the MOH and the BM have purple as either their main color or the accent and the JBM's have pink as their main or accent depending on the dress.
So would JBM be able to get the same dress as BM in a differant color without looking silly?

I think she can get the same dress in a different color. It is whatever you want to do. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I think that's a perfect solution!

I agree.. at 13 she should be wearing the older dress.. I don't think it will look bad at all

I find that giving them the option will show them that they are really more a part of the wedding.

I would pick out another dress you like and then give her the option.

If she likes the dress then she will choose it. You do not need to say its what the 8 year old is wearing it. :0)

the 8 year old is her sister so they'll both know.

I'm a little worried that the 8 year old will get jealous that she doesnt get to wear the 'grown up' dress if her sister does.
BUT i'm thinking she might be excited that she gets a totally differant dress from everyone and stands out.

I also realized that everyone can have a differant dress as long as they are the right colors and what not.
My mom is very old school and hooked on the whole 'matchy match' thing. she even wants their hair to be the same! which totally can't happen.
