Opinions - Community Churches of LI - mini vent

Does anyone attend or know these churches? I welcome all opinions!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Westbury Community Church
Parkway Community Church
Garden City Community Church

i've been to the Garden City one (at Christmas) and I really liked it... (if they have the same minister i saw, he was on the younger side.)
but if you want it for a wedding they charge over $1000 for nonmembers (think its expensive for members too)

I am getting married at Parkway Community Church. They have been great so far. The pastor marrying us has been great. We have to go meet with him again soon. My Aunt also got married there 20 years ago. It is really nice inside. The colors inside go great with my whole color scheme. They are very reasonably priced too. I know Garden City Community Church is tough to get if you are not a member and I think it was expensive. We looked into it. Let me know if you want any more info.

Are you talking about the Historical Chapel in Westbury? We checked that one out and I wasn't that crazy about it. And I thought it was expensive. The Community Church in Garden City is very nice. OOpps Sorry! The Historical Chapel is in Woodbury!

I like the Garden City community church - it is a nice church - when i was very little before my family became episcopal we used to belong there.

they don't have a website, but my cousin went to a wedding there recently and said it was amazing. check it out!

we went to see the historic chapel and it was a little spooky-we went @ night (like 8:30) though and no one was there to let us in. It is owned by Coachman Limos!

I spoke to Reverend Huyck at CC of East Williston and he is soooo nice and extremely accomodating!! The only problem is the price is a bit high so I wanted to look around a bit.

I just called about 10 churches and most were either upfront and said they could not marry non-parishoners or some said I needed to speak to the priest himself....but one person was SOOOOO RUDE to me. I asked about a non-parishoner wedding and she just gave me a blunt NO. I thanked her for her time and she just hung up!!!

I don't care whether I go to your church or not, I am a good person and you don't know how bad I wanted to point out to her that she should always be polite on the phone, ESPECIALLY since she's in a church!!!!!
