so fhs mom speaks basically no english, there are a few other relatives who dont either but we're talking like 3 max. im not positive about making custom menus or doing programs at all but i was thinking that especially for his mom, it would be nice to have a program in spanish so she knows whats going on. then with menus, if i didnt want to customize the menus, i still was thinking of doing a menu in spanish so she could read it but them i would definatley have to do all menus for the tables cuz i think itd look funny with just one table having differnt looking menus
so what do you guys think?
first, do you think its important in the first place that i do menus and/or programs in spanish and secondly, if i do menus and/or programs in spanish, do i have to do ones for everyone else (obviously in english)

I made my menus on vistaprint. they came out amazing & beautiful & thats an easy place to get a few made exactly how they are in english but in spanish. I made the programs myself so as far as changing the lang that would have been easy. would there be anyone who could translate what the menu choices were from the waiter?

ita, if i decide that im doing menus or programs or both, im definately using vistaprint, i already played around with the different products to see which would work best.
yes, there would definatley be someone at the table to translate so you think that's good enough? if im going to do the menus at all though, i have someone who will help me to do the menu in spanish so that will be easy enough...its actually the program that would be hard cuz its much longer (and im not close with the person that i could be asking them for this much, lol)

I dont know why you cant just have the menus and programs for the relatives that need them and thats it... is it going to look that much different?

i think if its only a few, it would be really nice and would maybe make her feel kinda special that you went out of your way for her. but then again you know FMIL better than i do, because mine would be insulted if we were in that situation.

Hmmmm I think if you only need a few, then maybe do at least the menus in Spanish. I feel like with the programs..you don't have as much control over who gets what. At least the menus, you know where she will be sitting.
And why not find out what the menus at your RH look like, and then you can make one to match if you don't want to make menus for every table. OR maybe they can provide a menu in Spanish for you.
