So I need your opinions. Not sure if any of you are familiar with the beach inLindenhurst called Venetian Shores. If you are and have been down there lately they have a little beach hut with food and a bar and a live band that plays some nights. A friend had mentioned to me about having my wedding down there. We are on a super tight budget and this could work. They throw a four hour beach party down there. You have a section to yourselves but the rest of the beach is still opened to the public so anyone is welcome there. You get to have a bbq with someone cooking for you, tropical drinks, beer wine and soda. You have to get your own cake/dessert. The food and drinks will be served in paper goods and I would need to supply my own tablecloths. The music is provided by whatever band is there that night. What are your opinions on something like this? This is my second wedding his first and we just want everyone together celebrating. What are your pros and cons on this?

Re: Opinions needed
I go down there on a daily basis and most weekend nights it is packed by the band so it would not be private at all.
While I think it would be a nice setting it will be VERY open to the public and there is no way to seperate your function from the rest of the crowd (and the crowd can some times be not that great)
You should look into restaurants near the water.

Re: Opinions needed
I love the idea! As long as you are okay with losing out on some privacy
