hello ladies i am very confused and need help with my dress... sorry if this is long
the dress i have fallen in love with style 1629 by impressions. If you google it comes right up. So basically I had decided to do purple whch is like a lilac tone for the BM (6 girls) and for th 2 MOH eggplant. Well somewhere along the line I mixed up my ideas and the dress does not come in eggplant!! Now I am so confused. I thought I had my mind all made up and Im back at square one. The darker color it does come in is called aubergine which Im not crazy abt.
Sooo basically when I began this whole thing I wanted royal blue and now I am thinking this dress is beautiful in royal blue and sooo maybe I will put all the girls, even MOH in royal blue. But I need a different way to make them diff. I def want this dress so a diff style is not an option. I was thinking of shortening to the calf for the BM and leaving long for MOH OR having same dress and color for all and fancier jewelery and flowers for MOH. MOHs are already complaining that they want to stand out and want a diff dress...
AHHH I really need David Tutera about now =/

That is tough. I feel for you!
Here are some ideas to make your MOH stand out: -bouquet with different flowers from BM (and slightly bigger too) - different jewelry that will stand out in pics, have BM wear more subtle jewelry -add something to their hair either flowers or a comb, something that goes along with their wedding -you could have your BM do their hair a certain and have the MOH do theirs differently i.e. BM half up/half down and MOH in an updo

That is a beautiful dress. I am making my MOH bo-k bigger to make them stand out cause you can't really do anything with my girls dresses to make it different. But if you ask the ladies at the bridal store you are ordering from, they may have some ideas that they have done before. Or is there a lighter shade of blue that you like?

I'm confused. Is it very important for YOU that the MOH stands out from the BMs or is it that your MOHs are asking that you do that? I'm a little taken aback that someone would ask to stand out from the BMs.
I would just give them slightly larger bouquets if you feel strongly about there being a visible distinction.
I suppose I'm a bad one to give an opinion because I really dislike it when the bridal party isn't wearing the same dress in the same color.

I knew I wanted Espresso colored dresses-- from jim hjlem, alvina valenta, and lazaro. I told the girls this and that I wanted Silky Taffeta as the fabric and my girls all picked out thier own dresses.
It worked out great-- and my MOH's dress is completely different than the others and i got her some amazing DOJ and a larger bouquet just so she'll stand out more. Oh and instead of the flowers on her dress being espresso i had them come in ivory.

i second this! or if you want to stick with the royal color, maybe pair it with turquoise or midnight. Its tough to judge the colors from the website but you get the idea, just like with the light/dark purple but you can do it with blues.

I have an impressions dress for my BM in Aubergine. That is just a really fancy way to say eggplant. It is really the same color. I am doing Aubergine for all BM except MOH who's dress will be in the impressions orchid color, a different shade of purple also my accent color. And her BOQ will be slightly larger with crystals.

I know that this post is from weeks ago but I thought I might be able to help. I also love impression 1629 but I don't love the colors the dress came in. I called impression bridal and they told me that I can order the dress in chiffon instead of georgette. There are so many more chiffon color options to choose from! There was a small charge for changing the fabric, but now I have a color a love (passion)!
