I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding on Saturday and I have no idea how to do my hair! I wanted to do something similar to what I want for my wedding (sort of as a trial), but I'm pretty sure she's doing her hair pretty similar and I feel awkward wearing the same hairstyle....
Do you think it's okay if I wear a similar hairstyle as the bride? Also - what hairstyles do you think would look good? Here's the dress... i was thinking low chignon or a low side pony (some pics also below - the bride is prob wearing a low chignon). Keep in mind I have very long brown hair...

And I'd just see if your friend has any opinions on how you girls should do your hair. If not, I would totally go side pony

It's absolutely NOT ok to do your hair similar to the bride. You should ask her for pics of her hair trial, and THEN make your decision.

she actually said she didn't care (she's very easy going), but i still feel a little awkward... I'll prob do the side pony... i'm leading more towards that for my wedding anyway....

even if she doesn't mind, i think you should do something different.
Thats called a low chignon? Thats my inspiration pic! Good to know it has a name! Now to your question...if the bride is doing the low chignon than the side pony is the way to go! Make it super low with loose curls flowing down the front of your shoulder. Oh and btw you are a lucky BM that dress is Soooooo cute and wearable!

can you please explain this to one of bridesmaids thats insisting on having her hair in a side pony just like mine!! becuase im thisclose to shaving her head

Ooo I loe the second pic, def something like that, or ur hair down, soft curls, parted on the side with a flower piece that matches the dress color

i know!! it's so adorable!! and it actually fit pretty well - only had to get it hemmed!
Ok - i'm thinking side pony all the way... i want it to be comfortable, and i think it's good to do a test to see if i'll even like it for my wedding day!

When you go to get your hair done, can you have them do a mock of chignon, just to get a pic and a feel of it?
and then have them style it into the pony for the wedding?
