Ok I was about to order some little things for the reception (matches, napkins etc) and I wasn't sure of what I should put for DH's name-everyone calls him Jon (except for his mother but dont even get me started on her) but his full name is Jonathan. On our wedding invitation I didn't even hesitate to put Jonathan since it is more formal but I wasn't sure what to do about these other things. Also I am having the ring bearer pillow embroidered with our names and wedding date and again I didn't know what to put. Help!! Your opinions are greatly appreciated!!!

My formal name is Jessica so I put that on the invites, but for our favors, I put Jessee because that's what people (other than professors) know me as.
I'd go with Jon.

I would ask him what he prefers and use that. DF is named Andrew but known by Andy to everyone. We went with Andrew on all the printed stuff, except for the thank you note inside the program - there we put Andy.

I asked FH and he said he wasn't sure-everyone calls him Jon so he said it was up to me -I dont like having to make the decision!!

well how formal of a wedding do you want to have? By using Jonathan, I think that gives a more formal impression, but Jon is more casual. I would look at the spacing, font, and layout of your names on each item and see what looks better.
