Opinions needed---teeth whitening

Opinions needed---teeth whitening

I want to get over-the-counter teeth whitening, and I'm not sure if I should get Crest strips, or Aquafresh white trays.

If anyone has experience/advice, I'd like to hear.

We're getting married in 2 weeks, and I'd like to buy it before monday if possible.

Thanks :)

I used crest white strips for years. They work really well just tend to make my teeth a bit sensitive. I found that brushing with baking soda right from the box helped to reduce that. I would brush w/ normal toothpaste in the morning. Use strips at night, then brush w/ the baking soda before bed. You should see nice results in two weeks if you do two daily applications (if you don't mind the sensitivity).

crest white strips are way more comfortable to wear than those big waxy trays and they really work well. I get the sensitivity as well which is common, my dentist told me to use Sensodyne (?) not sure on spelling to help with the sensitivity. It seems to work!

Definitely Crest White strips. I was shocked when I used them, they really work and aren't uncomfortable. They do make your teeth a bit sensitive, but nothing major.

I hear the Crest Whitestrips work the best. I plan on trying them one day soon too!

How long does the whiteness last for?

Dont remember, but it does last a while. I believe the whiteness gradually fades over a few months. If you want better results you can use two boxes, so you repeat the treatment once you're done with the first box. My aunt did that since her teeth are naturally darker and she was very happy with the results.

Crest White Strips. As the other girls mentioned, it does make your teeth more sensitive.

Have you asked your dentist how much professional whitening costs?

Crest whitestrips taste terrble. I threw up from them (TMI sorry!) They also hurt my teeth!! But they did work and made my teeth whiter.

Then when that wore off, I couldnt bear to do it again. It's so messy and terrible tasting and time consuming. I just shelled out the $$ and did the BriteSmile. It wasn't even too expensive, somewhere around three hundred. I def. recommend it. It's usually cheaper to go to their store than to do it in a dentists office.
