Opinions on hotel information....

Im not sure if I want to forward infomation about hotel accomadations in our invitations. I was just going to send them out with the STD's a year before our wedding. BM said it's standard to send them out with the invites, and that a year before the wedding is too much time Also, I was just going to send the STD's to my OOT guests, but now Im thinking I should also send them to my bridal party in case they want to book a room. What to do, what to do?

We put hotel info on our wedding website, which was referenced on our STDs and also on the direction card in our invitation.

I'm sending my hotel info with the STD's a year before the wedding-
sending it the invitations is too close, most of the hotels have a 6 week cut-off for blocked rooms before the wedding.

I think you should send them out with your STD's. You never know if a compnay or someone else will be blocking out rooms for the same weekend. People who know they will want a room..will book it right away.

Are you having a certain number of room blocked?

I sent them out with the STD's, I am also putting an insert in the invitation (plan to send out early due to many OOT guests)
I also emailed a lot of people and told them to start booking...It's never too early

The hotels have a 4 week cuttof, and teh invitations will gout out 8 weeks early, so the hotel deadline will coincide withthe rsvp date, so that is plenty of time.

I didn't do std's so i will put it in the invites.
the std's don't have to go out a year in advance. mayeb you codl send them a little later, if you want to just put hotel info in there & not in the invites.
