I had no opinion on DVD's, but my FH was so excited about the idea, since we have a player and could use the icons to skip to anywhere in the video...and with how fast things change, I guess VHS may be a thing of the past before we know it! I'm also only having one photographer, just because that's the way the place I went with does it, I know I have heard that two photographers is important to some people though.

We did DVD & VHS

Don`t ask why, cause I really don`t know, but we took a copy on both DVD and VHS .. did we need them both .. no .. did we need the DVD .. no .. but we have the DVD player, and just figured it would probably hold up better over the years than the VHS, which we did because VHS is still so popular. Also, our photographer is so creative in designing the DVD cases .. that was a nice selling point. It looks like a real movie box!

As for two photographers at the church .. it might be nice to have .. but I think it would depend on the church. Our church was strict with regard to the photographer and videographer, so I don`t think having a second camera (photo or video) would have done anything for us .. though I really think (looking back) it would have been a good choice to have a second videographer at the ceremony, if it were possible .. only because with good editing, it would have made for a more dramatic final piece. But as for a second photographer, I`ve never thought (since the wedding) that it was something we should have done.

We are having both...

The DVD I really wanted...b/c I was a victim of CDs...not tapes, but records (Im going to date myself...I still have 300)

You just see the times chage...I even had a number of 8 tracks at one point of my life...lol

So I insisted on the DVD...I can already see the change happening at blockbuster..

as for 2 cameras at the ceremony...its not nevessary, but when I saw the example..one watches the groom as the bride walks down...you don't get that with one camera...I just thought it was really special..and I want to be able to go back and see the expression on FHs face...

I am also doing both. Yabbobay and I both have Wild Rose Video. My FH really loved the 2nd camera at the Church, but it is not a MUST-HAVE. He asked for it, so I agreed since he never asks for anything for the wedding. The DVD we both wanted. I think it is great to just watch the sections that you want to.
