Opinions on these song lyrics

Since I'm horrible at trying to interpret the meanings of songs I figured I'd turn to you ladies for help. This is a song that both FI and I really like and FI in particular wants to have as our wedding song. I like it too, I'm just not sure what the song is saying and if its appropriate. On one hand it sounds like someone in the beginning of a new relationship ready to commit to something more, but it also can just be someone talking about wanting to have forever with the one they love. What do you guys think?

I like it. It seems to be about how some people use the word 'forever' too lightly, but he doesn't. And if he says 'forever' then he really means like, for all of time.

It's pretty. I like the words.

I used a Ben Harper song for my wedding song too but not this one, although I did consider it! DH and I are big Ben Harper fans.
