Does anyone have any opinions on these venues? Have you ever looked there or been to a wedding there?

The Royalton (Roslyn Country Club)
Bayview House (aka Captain Bills .. we'll pretend that's not in the name lol)
Stewart Manor CC

I have only been to the Royalton..I love it there! My gf got married there last year, and everything was beautiful..the food was great, so was the service and drinks! My gf told me everything was customizable & she loved that! If my date was available I would've gotten married there!

I wouldn't really recommend the SM country club... I live right next door and it's not really a great wedding location anymore. It needs alot of updating, and the room is very small- My parents got married there in 1980, but they say the venue is really not the same as it used to be.

I'm going to Captain Bills this weekend for a bridal shower so I can let you know after Saturday lol, and the Royalton is really really amazing!

I am going to a wedding at the Royalton on Saturday and so far, the bride has said nothing but wonderful things about it! They've been extremely attentive to every detail she's asked about/requested. The only thing is that I know they are a little pricey.

SMCC is wonderful!! If FH sister didn't get married there, I probably would have looked into it because my parents got married there and it's right down the block from my house. James is also the most wonderful maître d on the planet and literally will take care of EVERYTHING! We had our e-party with them and I can not complain about anything, it was all perfect!

I'm also getting married at The Royalton and it's truly amazing! They have been absolutely wonderful to work with! And yes it's 100% customizable! You tell them what food you want at your wedding and they will make it for it.

Also I forgot to mention that you are able to sleep in the bridal suite. A butler stays with you for the entire night and brings you breakfast in bed the next morning! So basically you get the entire venue to yourselves after the wedding!

Of those 3 places, I visited 2. First off Stewart Manor Country Club is very small & dark. It has a real ski lodge feel to me and felt very masculine. I loved Captain Bill's except for the fact that your guests walk through the reception room to get to cocktail hour. That was a deal breaker for me. It is completely renovated & very has a very nautical feel that I loved.

Bayview house is gorgeous! They have great prices. They were a top contender for us but I fell in love with the Vineyards.

Of these, I've only been to the Royalton. The wedding was AMAZING. The place was gorgeous, the food was great, everybody had a fabulous time. I don't think anybody had one single complaint!

From your list, I only looked at Stewart Manor CC and felt it was too old (and the bridal suite needs major updating) and dark. It was rustic, and like Kristin said, it felt kind of like a ski lodge...it was rustic, but dark. They are one wedding at a time, which I liked. But, the owner made an appointment to meet with me, then blew it off without calling or emailing to cancel. So, a younger kid who works there (not even a BM) showed me the place and went over pricing with me. For that reason alone, I crossed SMCC off of my list.
