fh and I had a disagrement last night b/c of tuxs!! I just assumed I would be going with him to pick out something for him and the guys and then he would go tell them and they would all go together to order it.... FH said no he dosent want me having any say in what he picks!! he says that he didnt get to go pick out my dress!! so why should I have a say in his tux. - He has pretty ok taste and everything but honestly he usually loves everything I pick anyway. I know this is really stupid but what are you girls doing? letting them pick it all on their own or going to help and add your 2 cents?

My FI was the same way but got him to have me go with him as long as I did not say anything. I have to say though, he picked out a great tux and color for him and the guys.

I did what you thought you were going to do. I let him think that he picked the tuxes. I would make him wear anything that he hated.

I figured that the tux was the one area where FH really got to make final decision. He and I generally have the same taste, so I wasn't too worried about it. Our wedding colors are purple and silver, and I wanted the guys in silver vests and ties, which he agreed with. We looked at a couple of the online websites together to get an idea of what we both liked, then he went with his best man to see everything in person and try stuff on. I let him decide how he was going to be different from the GMs. All he did was change the color of the vest and tie from silver to white. I would have liked him to be a little more different, but that's what he wanted to do, and like your FH said, he had no say in what I picked out for my dress. Why don't you try to ask your FH to show you what he likes, that way you have an idea what he's thinking of. If you hate it, let him know, but otherwise, let him have this chance to do some decision making for hte wedding.

I can understand why your FH would want to pick out his own tux without any assistance from you so if I were in your situation I would respect that and let him do his thing, that being said, I am totally going with my FH to pick out tuxes. But luckily for me, my FI wants me to go. I am the designated shopper/stylist between the two of us and he would be clueless if he went alone.

I went with my FI, his sisters went with us also, I showed him what I would like for him to wear and the tux guy stepped in and showed us different options and the tux guy pretty much said the same thing I was thinking just not being verbal about it and he loved it. We both agreed the tux dude had more knowledge of this than we did so we went with his opinion (which was my opinion too )
