Opinions on TY photo

I'm debating on which picture to use as our thank you photo. We're doing all the work ourselves because we didn't have a professional photographer, just a friend who took the pics. Which would you go with?

I'd say either #3 or #5. Def not #1, it hides too much of you, the beautiful bride!!

And you know, so far I think I like #1 the best! Yet my husband can't stand that one because it shows so much of him!

I am torn b/w 3 and 5. Love your earrings btw. They are gorgeous! Are those sapphires?

Thank you! Yes, they are sapphires, which is my birthstone. It was my something blue. I was searching and searching for a something blue and then I realized that my husband got these for me 2 christmases ago, and I barely ever wear them because they aren't everyday, so I HAD to wear them for the wedding.

Very clever s/t blue! I was just thinking that as I was responding. I got a sapphire ring from hubby that I wore as my something blue! Hoping for the matching earrings at some point!

I really like the 3rd one if you can perhaps lighten up the shadows on your faces (some photo programs do this), if not I really like the last one b/c you can see your faces & I love how you are looking at your man.

Let me just say that your friend did a better job than some professionals. You two look so cute, happy and beautiful in the pics! You look like two little kids in puppy love. It's so sweet Congrats!

I like 1 and 5.

3 is a great pic, but your faces are in shadow. You look cute, it's a great pose, but the lighting really ins;t good and in a print it's going to be even more obvious that there's shadow there. And, I think it's digital, but even if it's fi;m (which gives a little more leeway) it looks like it's dark in the negative, not in the printing, which actually means there's LESS info on the negative (hard to explain) so even if they try to lighten it up when printing, you'll have less detail on your faces, they'll look blurry. In #1 and and especially #5 the natural light is beautiful and they absoltely look like professional pics, wheras when I saw pic #3, before Irealized it was an amateur photo I was about to look at your profile to see who your photogrpaher was to make sure I don't use them. I'd go with #1 or #5. Absolutely gorgeous, and they look professional!

You want to know the best part about it? The photos were ALL taken by my little sister's friend. She's 16 years old and wants to go to photography school. We payed for the film and developing and she was with us for the entire day for the small cost of $100. Now that I have the film back I want to make up an albumn of my favorites and give her a thank you 'bonus' because she really did do a fantastic job.

It is all on film btw, I just scanned them in today to post on here and my livejournal acct. I wonder if I can take the negs or film to a place and have #3 lightened up!

That's great of you to give her that opportunity! She did a great job!

Another idea for LIW brides.....you can try contacting the art department of local colleges and seek out some photography students. FH used to do a lot of photography in college and I used to hang out with photography students when I was in college. They can do some really awesome work and would probably jump at the chance to make some $$$ on the side.
