opinions please!!
Re: opinions please!!
IMO as long as you can find a sitter for his parents (possibly at no cost to them) so they can stay and enjoy, then i think it should be ok.
Re: opinions please!!
Thanks. I think that will be easy since there will be other relatives getting babysitters.
Re: opinions please!!
Have the little one be introduced at the wedding reception (for photo ops) and then have a baby sitter come to the hall to pick the baby up. My brother and sister in law did this at their ceremony, so the parents could stay and have fun while the child was brought back to the hotel to go to bed.
Re: opinions please!!
I am having my 2 nieces in my ceremony, but they will not come out to the reception. They will be 2 1/2 and 3 and my SIL's already told me they would rather not have them there so they will go with the sitter after the ceremony.

Re: opinions please!!
I dont think it is rude at all do not have the RB at the reception....you can have him introduced since he is part of the wedding party and then just have him picked up by the baby sitter. But then again having him just go with the sitter after the ceremony might be easier.

Re: opinions please!!
My Fh and I are trying to cut down our list. He has two young cousins who we agreed are more than welcome to come to the ceremony but we feel the reception may not be good for children their age. First of all our reception will run very late and second of all our music may not be apporiate. (Theres going to be a lot of heavey metal.) We are going to lightly bring it up to the parents and see what they want to do. I'm providing a sitter for the little ones and I doubt his cousins will be any problem at all to her, but I dont' think they would want to stay in the 'baby room.' So we might either offer a sitter or see if they can find a family member to watch them.
Re: opinions please!!
My sister also had an adult only reception. Her ring bearers were 5 year old twins. Their paternal grandparents came to the ceremony and took them home 1/2 hour after the reception started so they could be introduced, and participate in the first dance.
Re: opinions please!!
Thanks girls!! There is a 3 hour break between the ceremony and the reception so that should be plenty of time to take him to the sitter. We may go somewhere close to the church for some pics before we head to Giorgio's maybe he could come to those pics then go home. This way he'll be in some of our pics.
Re: opinions please!!
I don't think it's rude at all.......and also there is probably a good chance that his parents don't want him at the reception because they want to have a good time and not chase after him. JMO
