I'm getting married at the Bourne Mansion... a little confused on if we should just take pictures at the Bourne or go to another location as well. If we go to another location, it'll probably be Old Westbury Gardens... both my fh and I love OWG, we love the grounds and the mansion there, it's so romantic.
We are getting ready at a hotel (not sure which one yet, it depends on if we take pictures at another location) and we are going see each other before the ceremony. Fh wants to take pictures at OWG bc he wants some pics with flowers and whatnot... but I'm not sure bc it's going to be a 45 min to 1 hr drive btwn OWG and Bourne and we'll probably be staying at OWG for 1.5 hrs... that makes the day so LONG!
Will taking pics at OWG and Bourne be too much? Should I consider another location besides OWG? Maybe I should just stick with the Bourne?

If I was getting married at Bourne, I don't think there would be a need to go anyplace else. There are endless places to take pics there....jmo

OWG charges $200 (I think) to use their grounds for photos. Also, factoring in an extra stop for pictures will add another one to two hours to your day. If you're willing to spend the extra time and money, then go for the pics at OWG. Otherwise, you will still have amazing pics at Bourne!

Sounds like a long day. That it is pretty far from Bourne. What about somewhere closer to Bourne? Bourne is beautiful! i'm sure there's an arboretum or a vineyard by there.

We didnt go anywhere else. I thought it was enough and to be honest I was sick of taking pictures after awhile and I would have been really tired and cranky if we went somewhere before hand!
There are many places you can take pics at the bourne - inside, outside, around the other buildings, on the tree lined driveway, etc...
If you really want to go somewhere else, Bayard Arboretum is about 10 minutes down the road. It's pretty. That's where I was going to and then I changed my mind and decided just to stick to the Bourne.

As someone who got married at the Bourne, I can tell you that there really are so many places there to take pictures! I still wish we had more time to explore more! There's other buildings and the mansion itself is amazing.
This picture was taked at another building across from the Bourne, it was so beautiful. It had a marble staircase leading up to it and this beautiful cracked paint.
