We are doing a donation as a favor. I wanted to do something different as far as presenting the card and wanted to use something to dress up the table with (as far as color goes). I saw these cute boxes and wanted to incorporte them into the wedding somehow .
I was thinking of putting the cards in there...so it would like a gift wrapped message...
but I'm just not sure....I don't want people to get their hopes up that there is going to be anything in there besides the card...we are doing a candy bar at the end and there will be Italian confetti on the table as well...so it's not like they wouldn't be getting 'anything'
We're doing donations as well, so what we're doing is making up scrolls and placing them underneath a small box with chocolate truffles, neatly wrapped...its going to look like this...

We did something similar but in the boxes I put some dove chocolate. I got many comments on it!

I was thinking about this also - it would be either have the almonds (confetti) in the box with the card - which is not really an option because I already ordered them from Italy - I would feel bad cancelling or have the confetti on top of the box - but that would cover it and I LOVE the card on the box...

im just being honest, i realize that its all about the presentation but i think maybe just the donation rolled up kind of like a scroll with a nice satin ribbon bow will be a way of presenting these donations
i think, im just being honest, that if i received a gorgeous box like you presented, i would be hoping for something inside....but thats just me

In my opinion, the boxes would cost money- money you could give to the charity. I think if you spend $3 on a box and have 100 people, that's another $300 you could have given to the charity.
We're doing donations also, and just putting wording on the menu to keep the cost down...
