My FH never wanted anything to do with planning the wedding so I went ahead and ordered the groomsmen gifts- beer mugs engraved.........now he said that that is cheap and not fair because we got the girls 'expensive' guess bags......
I'll admitt I should have asked him first but I was getting such a great deal I didn't want to pass it up lol.
What can I add to this gift without spending a lot of money to supplement the beer mugs?
Girls- I'd really appreciate any opinions.

Are they cigar guys? FH got them engraved pilsner glasses and pocket watches and cigars. He wants to get them golf shirts also.

this is so hard b/c i would so get them cigars or zippo lighters but FH is against anything that has to do with smoking b/c his mother has lung cancer....he flipped when i even suggested lighters.

You can always get them something to go along with the mugs. Maybe a month from the beer of the month club.

Okay please don't think I am stupid- 2 of the groomsmen are ex drinkers so beer wouldn't work- i just figured a beer mug doesn't nec. have to be used for beer- i've seen them drink soda out of them before so that's why i ordered them......i should have thought it through but i thought they were so nice and so affordable

we got our's digital picture frames (great price and quality) off of amazon or shop.com, can't remember which place.
Then FH is going to put a memory card into each frame personalized for each GM that has pics of them together since they have known each other, like at football games and parties and stuff.
I think they were like $60 each, great deal, great quality too, they were just on sale when we got them.

hmmm.......maybe try googling 'groomsmen gifts' ...... I know a lot of stuff will come up. Maybe something practical that they will use a lot.

i had the same problem! we just decided to get the GMs more than one gift that added up to a nicer gift. we haven't decided on what yet, but they will most likely be swiss army knives and/or flasks and/or money clips.

Is this ridiculous? They all work and eat lunch out- would a gift card to a fast food chain be corny? or a blockbuster gift card?
I'm also considering wallets- Marshalls usually has some nice ones.
And as you guys mentioned: money clips and army knives always work.

now ya got me. i thought something to go along w/ beer mugs would keep everything cohesive, but now you said they dont drink. I guess the money clip or army knife would be a good idea then.

why not a money clip that holds a gift card to Sears or Home Depot or something??? I tried to convince FH on this one, but he wants to get them all sports jerseys! then he definitely can't complain about what I spent on the girls, b/c that can get pricey!

Target has the cooler chair too. I got GM pilsner glasses & zippo lighters. I spent way more on the girls too...but they threw the showers, attended the bachelorette parties and have been my support system. My GM don't even have a clue what time the ceremony is

I would get them a guess bag and put the mug in it.. sorry just kidding, how about a subscription to netflicks, and put it inside the mugs and get a nice gift bag and put them inside???
