Opinions please

Hey girls!

Okay, my dress is ivory... i was originally going to have a white calla lilliy bouquet but I recently attended a wedding and the bride had a red rose bouquet. I think the red and ivory are great for pictures for the bride... so I think I am switching.

For my BM's they are wearing a deep red... I orignally had them carrying red rose bouquets but at the wedding I just attended they were wearing red dresses and carrying white roses. I liked it in person but in the pictures im not sure it looked so great.

So the plan is :

Me : Ivory dress and red rose and dark red calla lillies
MOH - Dark red roses with some white roses mixed in
BM - red roses


What do you think?? opinions on BM's?? Red or white roses??

We have the same colors - the girls are in cranberry red/wine and I am in ivory. So I will have black magic roses with mini white calla lilies, and they will have ivory roses with burgandy mini calla lilies.

FH will have mini white calla lily, and the guys will have black magic roses. Mother/grandmother will have ivory roses.

I was just at a wedding that did the white roses (perhaps the same one???) and i thought it looked nice with the white. If you do the red on red the flowers might get lost. or do more red and intersperse it with a couple of white roses (just for contrast and to break up all the red) and use the callas with the MOH.

i love mini callas so i say the more the merrier!

Thanks for the imput... I guess Im gonna have to meet with the florist again to go over some different ideas....

i personally love it when BMs wear a deep color and then have white boks, it really makes the dresses pop

i worry it might be too much to have BMs in red and carrying red boks, like the boks will get lost

why dont you have the BMs carry white calla lilies since you wanted them for yourself

i looove calla lily bouquets i think they are so classic and timeless! and they would look gorgeous against the red dresses

im doing black magic and boukara(sp??) roses incps. they are beautiful roses, very deep and really pop

my bms are carrying white boks with only tiny accents of purple

totally Shannon's! ask your florist to pull out different flowers and bring a swatch or a pic of the BM dress.

just looked at your profile so now i know who you are! I know you probably don't want to be a copycat of her wedding either. maybe do something totally crazy and different. i wouldn't go with roses if you are doing the same colors. go with callas. imho.
