So I uploaded our DIY card box, sorry it's turned. It's still in the works as I didn't want to worry about something happening to it over the next 6 months but my question to you all is... We are unsure if we are going to keep the two smaller boxes on top or leave it as is but two people mentioned to me over the weekend that the card slit should have been on the 3rd box from the bottom (or if we do only 3 boxes, then the top). I would very much like them to be wrong as the cutting and painting as far as we were concerned is all done. We are inviting about 260 and the depth of the two boxes where the cards would fill up is 12 inches.

Honest thoughts please... move the card slit up a box or leave it as is?

Thanks in advance

I have to agree that it should be a little higher up. With your amount of guests I think once some of those cards get in there guests will have a hard time getting theirs in.

I agree that it should be higher as you are having a lot of guests.

I agree, the slit will be better on top. They look pretty though! Did you cover them with fabric or just paint them?

You can tell the hard work you put into making this, it came out great. But I think the slit needs to be higher too.

Thanks everyone, although not that I'm excited about having to do more cutting and measuring, but I appreciate the honest feedback...

mab30 I used acrylic paint and a sponge roller. Two coats and I'm pretty pleased :)

It looks good but I agree about the slit being up top. Where did you purchase the boxes?
