Opinions Please- Dance Motivators

Hi!

We recently booked FM entertainment and FH loved the idea of the dance motivators that do the ballroom dancing lesson.

He isn't a big dancer and thought it would be fun to do.

When we inquired further we found out it would take ONE HOUR!!!!!!!

I am not pleased about that...

He likes the idea, I feel it is a LONG time to be doing a lesson.

I'm torn because I want FH to be happy but dont' love the idea.

What do you think?

ETA: Sorry if I wasn't clear... (it made sense in my head)

It is the night of the wedding, they come and give a lesson for an hour at the reception.

If it was during reception i would say way too long but a very nice idea if it was much shorter.

I also agree that if its during the reception its going to eat up a big chunk of your time, and the guests who are not participating in it, just sitting and watching will get board. If its you one on one then I think thats a great idea.

i think its too long to do during your reception. You'll just want to dance with guests and enjoy yourself, not have a dance lesson DURING your wedding. Plus if they teach a certain style then for that hour there will ONLY be that type of music and if ppl dont like it then they wont even dance. Plus the reception goes by so quick you cant even imagine. There are the speeches, first dance, cake cutting, mother/son dance, father daughter dance, if youre doing garter then you have the whole bok toss, garter toss then the taking off of the garter and the putting it back on part. Not to mention the times you have to stop for 2nd course, then main course. So the time you have just enjoy your time on the dance floor and hanging out with your guests. Dont dedicate an hour to do after you have so many other things to do at your wedding

during the reception WAY too long. People should just be relaxed and so many people might not want to take a lesson OR to ballroom dance and it means whatever music they play woulod have to match the lesson. . so takes away from just relaxing.. if people shouold be paying atten to anyone for an hour it should be YOU

i think its a cute idea i just dont know how i would feel if it took an hour! i mean maybe if it was a half hour you know they show you have to do the steps and then everyone gets into it ... that sounds fun! but an hour is kind of long.

I think an hour at the reception is WAY too long, if it was going to be like one dance or 2 that would be okay but I think if you want to keep the party going, you shouldn't have an hour of ballroom dancing in the middle of the reception...JMO though, hope this helps.

you should see if they can shorten the time maybe to about 15 minutes that might be fun? but I also agree an hour at the reception is too long.

I voted to not do it, it could be a nice idea, but your wedding is what about 5 hours long, and the first hour your probably taking pics, and then dance lessons for an hour, that leaves 3 hours for the rest of your night including eatting dinner and what ever traditions you want to do. In the end it is your and fh day, and it will always be special no matter what you do!
