So I was talking to one of my BM's today and advised that I was going to my 3rd store to try on bridal gowns. She light heartedly mentioned that she has been in many weddings & has never seen a bride go to so many stores before. I was surprised by this & advised I haven't fell in love with one. I have a very clear vision of what I do not want & don't expect an OMG moment but want to put it on and say I look and feel beautiful.
I love my friend & one of the reasons I love her is her honesty. I wasn't insulted, just was taking back with the statement. Am I crazy?

nope you're not crazy... i went to three stores and found my dress at the 3rd one. I went to lillette's, then bridal reflections and then pronovias in NYC and found the dress there.. 3 stores really isn't alot, I know people who went to like 5 or 6 stores

I'm one of those people who went to 6 stores! And I'm glad I did b/c I said yes to the dress in the 6th store! I found a dress I really liked in the others, but I kept feeling something was missing. Don't worry about what your BMs say. You have to find a dress you love and feel beautiful in regardless of how many stores it takes to find it.

I went to 3! Brought my mom and sister to all 3 of them... added my aunt to 2 of them and my FMIL to the 3rd!

I only took my mom and my sister (who is my MOH) with me to all the appointments. I didn't go shopping with my BMs.

I took just my mom with me to the first one, which was nice for the first try-on, but it was also when I realized her vision of my gown was different than mine. I just knew that I wouldn't be able to pick a dress with just my mom there, because I was afraid I would be pressured into buying something that was more her style... The 2nd and third time around I brought my mom and my sister (my MOH) because she understood more of what I wanted and helped me to make a clear decision. We all loved the dress I was in, but I think if my sister wasn't there I would have had a harder time committing lol

3 isn't too many at all, I went to 4! I didn't bring my BMs, and my MOH cancelled on me twice, so finally I gave up. I went with my mom, and then my aunt came with us to Kleinfeld and that's where I found my dress!
Don't worry about what anyone else says, it's YOUR wedding and even if you went to 100 stores it doesn't matter what your BM says!

3 is def not too many. I went to 5 different stores and one of those stores twice. I tried on over 50 gowns before I found the one. Don't listen to you friend. Don't settle you'll find 'the one'
