Opinions/Recommendations on Day of Coordinator

I am on the fence on this. On the one hand, I want somebody to take care of everything the day of the wedding and do not want to have to worry the day of about all the details. On the other hand, I don't know if I want yet another person doing it, and I know my family would think I was being overly high-maintenance by wanting one.

What do you guys think? Does anybody have any recommendations for a day of coordinator?

I am using Laura from LA Productions. She has been great so far and you read nothing but positive reviews of her work.

I just don't want myself or any family to have to deal with stuff that day. I also feel like I want an advocate for me and what I want that day in case any vendors try to pull anything. Unlikely that will happen but you never know.

Hi date twin!!

I was on the same fence. I didn't want to feel overly high-maintence, but I also didn't want to stress about the millions of little things on the wedding day.

I didn't hire anyone, but I'm using my FH's cousin, who is an organized person who knows a lot about weddings, having worked in the hair/make-up industry for a while. She's been great.

I just know that I will need that extra piece of mind.
