we decided to have only our two best friends as bestman and maid of honor and each others siblings for the rest of the BP.
When people ask, I feel as if they are disappointed that we did not ask them ( especially FH side since he has been in a ton of weddings).
I just wanted to know everyones thoughts...
are we being horrible?

Thats your best bet! no headaches...I don't think you are horrible for it. Just explain to them that you want a small party/ wedding.

It's your day and what you want. Just tell them that you didn't want a huge bridal party and it would not be fair to everyone. And that is what YOU wanted!!! You can always included them still in things.

Re: opinon needed
i just recently posted about having a huge fight with one of my friends and it turns out it was because she was upset that she was not in the BP. but we did the same thing you are doing. my best friend is my MOH and then the BMs are my sister and FH's sisters.
but you have to do what you want to do and people will just have to understand. and if they don't understand, then maybe they aren't the best of friends. don't get me wrong, i understand them feeling a little hurt or dissapointed...but a true friend will eventually get over it and understand.
don't worry, you're doing the right thing.

i think you are doing the right thing. i do think that some may be very dissappointed at first, but your true friends will come around. no matter what you do , someone will be dissapointed and its YOUR wedding so you shouldnt be that person.

Re: opinon needed
It's so hard when it comes to selecting your BP. So many people tend to get their feeling hurt when it comes to that type of thing. One of my closest friends from high school was upset that I did not pick her as my MOH. I chose to have my sister instead. When I first told her it was a little akward and I could tell that she was a little upset by it but after I explained why I chose my sister she seems to understand better. I'm sure they will understand why you chose the way that you did if you explain it to them.

i think its rude for people to expect the bride and groom to have certain people in the wredding party. there comes a time u have to draw the line somewhere and if people are ur true friends they should understand and respect ur decision.

You're doing the right thing - because it's what you want. You shouldn't have to defend your choices, especially when you're putting family first.

Re: opinon needed
thanks everyone....
I have known my MOH since kindergarden and she is like a sister to me and a daughter to my family.
We wanted a small bp and both have siblings so it just seemed to be the best way.
