I am hysterical right now. The first person that they are set to save is a woman whose husband was killed working in home depot 6 weeks before.
Did anyone see it? she said he was her best friend and soulmate and that just hit me...
you think the little things in life (dumb co workers etc) are the worst thing happening, and then boom, you realize... there are worst things...
wake up call. Anyone else ever realize that and just feel so small?

Re: Oprahs show...
I didnt see that one but when things happen like that I always feel so greatful for what I have. When I get mad at FH I really should think I am lucky that we are happy rather then what he did.
I am sure I would have cried when I saw that. When I read that article a few weeks back about the couple in FL and the bride died at the reception I was so sad.

OMG....do you know.. when i read that... i cried no joke, for about two hours. I was so upset and so just, sad, that I couldn't calm myself to think something like that could happen to someone...

i always try to put my life in perspective to whats going on around me...i am having a hard time dealing with my fathers death, but i always try to say that there are worse things happening to other people...you have to feel so bad for some people.

Re: Oprahs show...
oh my gosh I cried through the whole show...not tears like sobbing - I don't know what was wrong with me.
The woman in the beginnning whose husband was killed 6 weeks ago...OMG I felt so bad for her and her babies were beautiful.
And then the woman who took care of all the disabled people in her home...OMG.
It was a great show..had such an impact. I'm looking foward to the next one

i didnt see the show.. but every once in awhile when i start to freak over something so small, i try and put things into prespective. im only 20 and i already know so many kids who i graduated with, who have passed away. its sad, but its really helped me realize that life is short.. and i could be gone tomorrow and you really need to take each day for granted.

I know what you mean. When my grandfather (the man who raised me) passed away I really was a mess... he was young and on top of that...strong...
and now 5 years later (almost to the day) I am not over it. And then I say to myself 'But what about those who I do have'....
