This is probably a silly question but I am getting a new computer this week. I know how to hook up the modem etc but how to I 'install' optimum on my new comp?
I don't remember if I had software or not. I have the box for the modem but not instructions.

There's a cd you install and it has instructions on how to install the program on your computer.
I did it 2 years ago - if I can do it anyone can

on a new computer you shouldnt need the cd just plug the modem into the ethernet port on the computer. and it should automatically detect the modem and the internet wizard should pop up.

mike - to just get on the internet I think a modem is enough but to access opt online mail server you need the CD. Irishbride, it should come in the box with everthing else.
