Orange Bridesmaid Dresses...

Hi girls - I am getting married in August 2011 and my favorite color is Orange. I want to have orange bridesmaid dresses (the groomsmen will be in tan suits with orange ties) but every designer I have looked at does not have a pretty color orange. I am looking for a light orange (like a sherbert). Everything I am finding is pumpkin orange or burnt orange (for Fall weddings). Has anyone had an orange wedding and know of dresses/designers that have a pretty color orange? Thanks!

i havent looked for orange myself...but a friend got married 2 yrs ago labor day weekend. she too was looking for a light orange/peach color...she didnt want burnt orange bc she wasnt having a 'fall wedding'.
She was unable to find an orange she was happy with and said the problem with some of the peach colors was that the lighter (pale) girls in her bridal party looked washed away in them. she ended up having her girls in a burnt orange but instead of accenting the wedding with browns and olive greens (for a fallish look) she accented with brighter pinks to make it more spring-y

i used DB tangerine color.... i absolutely loved it... im so happy i went with it... there are pics in my albums and you can check my review for more pictures

Thank you so much for responding! I looked at the exact dress you used for your wedding yesterday at DB and I liked it but I was afraid of how orange it would look with 8 bridesmaids. You had a big wedding party too and it looked amazing!! I think I am going to go with that dress now. Looking at your pictures was such a big help. I love the theme you had (orange/beach) that's exactly what I am going for. The dresses looked great on all of your girls! Thanks again

Jim Hjelm has a color called mango that very pretty. I wore a mango chiffon dress with ivory lining but I'm sure you could have it lined with mango too. Might be worth looking into. Good luck!

I'm doing coral and it's almost like a light orange. We got the dresses from J.Crew

I was MOH for my friends wedding and she wanted us to have a burnt orange dress. However, It was impossible to find a dress in the burnt orange color she wanted (a darker brownish color).

Right now I'm looking for a shade of dark teal and its hard.

What is up with bridemaids dresses ? Why are they all in the same 15 colors.....

this is so weird, I JUST picked up the Martha Stewart Weddings mag, and there is a whole spread dedicated to orange and colors that go well with it!! You should pick it up, there are dresses and flower ideas and lots of other stuff!
