Hi. I spoke with my florist (Vito-Pedastals) about a flower that will stay fresh in my hair during the wedding. He recommended orchids. Does anyone know this to be true?

Depends.....
If someone hugs you it could make a crease in the orchid which will then lead to it turning brown where it was damaged. A petal could also fall off if you're not careful. Also watch out not to get too much hair spray on the orchid b/c that could turn it brown as well.
If possible I would get a few as back ups just incase anything happens to it. Would you consider getting a silk one?

My best friend just wore one in her hair for her wedding a couple weeks ago. It stayed in fine and lasted the entire night. HTH!

i had the same question and basically was told yes it could get damaged so eith er bring a spare or get thefake one lol..not sure what i will do yet goodluck!!!!!!!!

The fake flowers in the hair are just as good as the real, if not better since they don't get damaged

There's this accessories designer named Michelle Roy (google her) and her niche was making faux flower hair pins with swarovski crystals in them. I actually had a white orchid one a few years ago and it was absolutely gorgeous. go to michelleroydesigns.com
They're a bit on the pricier side, but to this day I've never seen anything that looked as good as these. They used to have them at Bendels in the city.
Might be a good bridal idea..let me know how it works out for you!

they totally are!! I went on th michelleroy.com website and you can buy them right from there!! they have every flower, color, and 3 different sizes.
When you go to the site click on'hair accessories'. Then you can click on flower, bridal, headbands, etc. You can't tell on the internet pictures, but these really are so gorgeous in person. They're so well done and chic. Usually fake flowers can look a bit wonky, these definitely don't.
