Ok so my FH and I are getting married outside at the RH. B/c of this, we need to take pics before the ceremony...neither of us want to miss our CH. I am thinking about getting a room at Danford's since it's so close and getting ready there with all my girls (& photog). FH will be at his parents' house getting ready with his guys & his parents' house is less than 10 min. from RH. We can only arrive 1 1/2 hours before our ceremony. How should we see eachother for the first time all dressed up?? A part of me wants to do it the traditonal way with him at the altar and me walking down the aisle but that's not possible b/c of the CH. Can anyone share their plans if they are in a similar situation? I know that a lot of RH tell people to take pics before the ceremony. TIA!!

My friend is doing this, this weekend, she will be coming up from behind her fh, then they tell him to turn around so its like a surprise when he sees her for the first time. The photographer sets it up so he can get the picture of both their faces.
Typically they do this in jewish ceremonies too, where the grooms back is to the bride as she enters the room. And then the big reveal.

We are taking pics before our ceremony. This is our plan. FH and the guys will be getting ready at our apartment. The limo bus will pick up the guys there and drop them off at the park. Then come ot my mom;s house to pick up the girls and I. and bring us to meet up at the park. FH will have his back turned to me I will come up behind him and he will turn around. We are meeting at 2 and the chuch is at 4:30 but the boys have to be at the church at 4pm. If you are worried about wanting more time for pics take some at a special place or park then go to your hall. We are also going to stop at the Starbucks where we first met to take a few pics. All of our places (besides the RH) are within 5 - 15 minute of eahc other.

FH and I rented rooms the night before at the hotel we're blocking rooms at, will get ready separately with some of our bridal squad in tow. We're going to meet in the Hotel Lobby the afternoon of the wedding for the reveal...then head to OWG for pictures before the ceremony.

Thanks for your ideas ladies!! Does anyone know of a hotel in the Port Jeff area where we can block rooms? I know Danford's is there and it is beautiful but I don't want to make my guests spend a minimum of $250 for a night there.
