Im filling out some papers for JT and one of them is the order of procession paper. Is it usually:
Groom & Best Man Parents of the Groom Groomsmen Bridesmaids Maid of Honor Flowergirl Bride & father
Is that right???
Were not having a religious ceremony.

Not at all! Are you having the GM at the alter with FH or walking down with the BM? I've been at weddings with both done and I would like for the GM to be at the alter with FH, but FH doesnt agree!

See thats what I was confused about. I wasnt sure if the Groomsmen should walk down with the bridesmaids. Like couple them up. But then again, FH has more groomsmen than I have bridesmaids so someone would have to walk alone.

I've seen it done both ways...you can have the GM walk alone or with the BM...it's up to you!

I guess in your situation, I would have the BM walk alone and at the end of the ceremony they can couple up and some will have to walk alone. I have an even amount of BM and GM and still fight with FH on this! He just doesnt get it!

oh and about fh having more gm than you have bm... you could have a girl or two.. or three.. walk down with 2 guys if you need to... we were gonna have my moh walk with my brother and fh's brother together (moh is my sister and we thought itd be nice to have each brother walk her down as if its the 2 families joining together) but we got rid of our extra gm so we dont need to do that now

i think the reason they do it that way usually is because it is supposed to symbolize the men joining the women after the ceremony or something... i could be wrong but thats what i always thought lol

you can do anything u want. IMO i think it looks better when the groomsmen and bridemaids walk together. very 'couple' ish.
we have 2 more BMs than GMs so 2 GMs will have 2 girls.
