I'm going to make my own RD centerpieces. I ordered square, clear vases from ikea.com and I want to put tightly packed roses and maybe mums in them and then have apples carved out to hold a candle on either side. I'm going for an autumny feel.
Where can I order inexpensive roses in bulk in fall colors? I looked at Sam'sClub.com but you have to be a member. Walmart.com does not have a good color selection. Costco.com doesn't have flowers.
Thanks!

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
i didn't want to mention it on here...but i believe on the knot you can buy them in bulk....or maybe you can go to a florist and ask them if you can order from them... i don't know i've never done that before! good luck...it sounds beautiful!!!

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
I used to work in a delithat sold flowers. A few times women would come in and buy bulk for showers, and my boss always sold them to the women at wholesale prices. The store isn't in LI, and the owner is different now so I can't recommend going there, but maybe you could go to a local store or supermarket that sells flowers and inquire how much they would charge you for bulk flowers. Keep in mind though, it's alot of work removing all of the thorns and leaves.
Thank you for the suggestions! I am going to check them all out! Do you have any other suggestions of something I could do to make it autumny? I don't want to do too much work since its so close to the wedding.

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
I would get an assortment of colors and then get leaves and sprinkle some on each table.. or you can use pumkins as the vase?

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
I thought of the pumpkin vases, but I was afraid that Sept 18 (my RD) would be too early to use that. What do you think? Are they more halloweeny?
Do you mean fall colored leaves? Do you think they'd be changed by then?

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
I think it would look great!! not too halloweeny at all! I associate whole pumkins with fall.. if they were faces cut out, then DEF halloween lol
yeah! they sell fakes ones actually! =)

Re: Ordering Bulk Roses
Thanks for the advice. I'm going to go to Michael's and look at the fake leaves. I'm wondering if the pumpkins would be too much work since I have to work the day before and that day I have a lot to do -I'll think about it.
Maybe if I can find twig type things with cranberries on them (fake) I can twist them around the vase.
I'll have to play and see how hard the pumpkins are and how they look.
By the way, Marcella, I can't wait for more wedding pictures! Everything looked magnificent! I loved the pictures Tara posted of the hall - how beautiful! And you looked great! I can't believe how long ago I was checking out Trinity Church for you and now you're married! Time flew! Mine is in 3 1/2 weeks!

It's amazing, isn't it? hehe.. time does fly! thank you soo much.. Tara took some great shots..
Couldn't you set them up and just have someone bring them over there beforehand? or drop them off on your way to the church and have the restaurant set it up?
