I am ordering my invites today and need help picking out an RSVP date. In general the invites go out about 2 months before the wedding right? So is the RSVP deadline usually 1 month before wedding? I want to mail out my invites on August 29 and have the RSVP be September 21. I am getting married November. Will this work?

Re: Ordering Invites Too (need help ASAP)
I think thats fine,.. especially if you plan on sending out invites to a 'B' list. I am putting my RSVP 5 weeks before my wedding date.

Re: Ordering Invites Too (need help ASAP)
I think the general rule is you send out the invites 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding and the RSVP date is usually one month before your wedding date. My feeling is If you send them out too early, people always think they have so much time to send back the RSVP and might forget to do it or take forever doing it! But i think you should be good!

Re: Ordering Invites Too (need help ASAP)
My RSVP date is 10/1 and the wedding is 11/14. I know it's early but about 85% of my guests are OOTers so they will know a little further in advance if they are going to come.

Re: Ordering Invites Too (need help ASAP)
I would say typically 1 month prior. I plan on sending mine out 9/1 (or very shortly thereafter), with an RSVP date of 11/1 for a 12/5 wedding. I'm doing it so early because of my 167 A list guests, 78 are OOT Also, my RH requires a pretty early final count, and FH's family has shown in this shower nonsense that they do not respond, period. I need 3 weeks of hunting time.
