Orlando to Fort Lauderdale-Drive or Fly

Is it better to drive or fly to Fort Lauderdale from Disney to get to Port Everglades? Any suggestions?

that is a 3 hour drive and it would depended on how much the flight would be from Orlando to Ft.Lauderdale and if you want to sit in the car for 3 hours.

drive. by the time you deal with airport check in and baggage and security, you really havent saved yourself any time.

the drive isnt that long (i believe less than 4 hours)

I'd drive it. Then again, I kinda like road trips.

ITA.... you can drive there faster. I've done this trip a dozen or so times and its fast, easy and a lot less money.

The flight is like 35-40min.

I've done that flight a bunch of times. IMO, its dependent on if you are checking bags or just doing carryons. If you only are bringing a carryon, you will be able to get through security, jump on your plane and be in orlando in probably under 1.5- 2 hours.

honestly its more like 4 possibly 5 hours espeically with traffic. i would fly .. i have done the flight before and its cake:)

I live in Ft Lauderdale and have driven to Disney. Definitely drive. It's mayyybe a 3 hr drive, can take less.

my paretns ususally spend about $140 renting a car for a week in FL. Depends what you rent. Car rentals are def cheaper in FL

Drive! I live in Fort Lauderdale and can tell you its about a 3 1/2 drive with traffic, but way easier than spending all that time in the air port.

Its funny, I actually did this drive from Delray Beach to Orlando during Thanksgiving. We rented a car from the Hertz in Delray Beach (there are a ton of other rental places around there too) and it cost me a total of $46 for a one-day rental! Definitely cheap if you reserve ahead of time.
