About how much would you say you spent on things OTHER than the venue? Dress, limo, dj, etc. I have a budget in mind and would love to get an idea of what all of the others end up adding up to so I can set an idea of what I should be spending on the venue itself. We are so excited to be looking at our first venues this weekend!!! Thanks!!

Other than the venue...
I wanted to keep my dress under $700 and I did (w/o alterations, which I am dreading). I spent $650 on my dress.
For DJ, I am going with a co-worker who does it on the side. If he can't do it (since my wedding is a Friday night, he had a network of DJ's who could). They charge $100/hr. I'm banking on $600 for DJ.
For photography, we are more than likely going with a family friend. Not sure what she charges, if she will charge at all.
I don't think we're doing a limo (ceremony is at venue.) Flowers I haven't figured out yet. I plan to make my own centerpieces, but will probably go to a florist for bouquets, boutineirres and ceremony flowers.

My dress cost $1125 so it will probably end up around $1500 after the customizations I asked the designer to do and alterations.
Our DJ cost about $2500.
Flowers cost about $1400.
Photography costs around $4000.
That's all we have booked so far.

That's including hair, make up, bridal party gifts and stationary.

We spent around 4K on photography and 1500 for video. Budget for dj is 2k, flowers is 2K, limos is 1K, and dress is 2K (parents are paying for this). We'll see lol
So probably between 10-12K when all said and done after all the little stuff, before the honeymoon
Eta: and about 1K or more in tips. Smh.

I spent: 3300- photography 7800- band 2300- limos- (this is just for the speciality car and party bus for after party) our friend owns a limo company and is supplying the rest 950- invitation 350- favors 6000- dress veil etc 650- bridal party gifts 3000- honeymoon 750- church 2000- centerpieces 750- bouquets 400- hair/ makeup (day of)
It all adds up FAST!!! I almost puked typing this out!

Photo/video together is $7,500. DJ is $3,500. Photobooth $950. Florist $5,000. Dress $2000. Invites $1,050.
Good luck looking at venues!! I miss that part of planning lol

We are using complete wedding packages in East Meadow for photo/vid/dj and got an amazing price: less than $3000 and they have us 25% off our invitations!
My dress was $740 with tax,
Flowers was about 1300
Our budget didnt give us much flexibility since we only had about a year to save. But I have to say I am so impressed so far with complete wedding packages in east meadow! And it's been super easy since everything is at one place!

It's crazy how fast things add up!! Dress-$3,500 before alterations photos/video-$5,800 DJ-$3,300 Honeymoon-$3,500 Invites/STDs-$1,100 Limos-$1,100 (we are only doing 2 stretch limos-my BMs and family w/me, his GM and his family w/him) Florist-$2,000 Wedding Rings-$3,200 (3k for mine...2 $100 bands for him haha)

I spent: 1800-wedding bands 102-invitations 70- favors 51-veil 1200-dress (includes tax alterations bustle an 450- bridal party gifts 2000-honeymoon flight booked so far 50- cake suppose to be free but added 2400 flowers 110- hair 75-makeup 1000-dj and mc 4400- photo and video 40-marriage license 11-garter 30-Unity candle

Here's my breakdown thus far
$ 600 for 120 Invitations $ 850 for Photobooth in lieu of favors $ 1900 for Dress alterations need to be done $ 2500 for photo/assist for 10 Hrs no albums creating my own $ 1000 for DJ/MC one person with intelligent lighting $ 1500 for Video w/assistant for 10 Hrs $ 600 for flowers however only needed florals for my large bridal party.
It most certainly adds up!

$5500 photo/video + albums $2800 DJ $1200 limo $1700 flowers $1000 photobooth + picture frame favors $2400 dress/veil/alterations $600 bridal party gifts (an estimate though because we bought stuff here and there) $750 church $150 hair/makeup $1200 invites/menu/programs/photo booth frame inserts/place cards $200 misc. stuff (unity candle, frames for place cards, etc.)
These are all estimates, but that's all that I can think of right now. I don't know what else.
