Our 1st trip together

Our 1st trip together

So yesterday Madeleine and I took a trip out to Long Island to visit my MIL and we went to the Source Mall... I was so proud of myself since this was the first time I actually drove with my little pea in the car. We had a great time...

After our little shopping trip with grandma, the little pea and I went to Buy Buy Baby... ALL BY OURSELVES!

Our first big trip together and it was fun!

But today my poor little pea has the sniffles. I think I slept for like 2 1/2 hours last night because I was so worried. I watched her the whole night with the cool mist humidifier on, giving her saline drops and nursing her... I felt like it was all my fault that I took her shopping!

I hope she didn't get the sniffles from our trip...

Congratulations!! That is a big step!! Good for you Mommy!!

I wouldn't worry that your trip gave her the sniffles - many babies suffer from infant congestion for the first few months of their life - Ryan had it for a few months. It sounds like you are doing all the right things!! But I know how worried you feel - I felt the same way!! I'm sure she's o.k....she's got Mommy taking good care of her!!

Congrats Mommy!! It'll only get easier from here. I remember my first outting alone with Maiah. OMG I was a basket-case!! Is she feeling any better?

Great job. The sniffles were probably brewing days before the trip.

oh YAY! The first outing was SO hard for me! i am sure the ladies here remember my post. I was such a spaz. But it's gotten a lot better now. Congratulations!

And don't worry about the sniffles - Sophia was congested with this dry sniffle sound for a month I think, and she still gets it at night. The saline drops will work and use that litttle bulb nasal thing to try to get some of the gook out. Also, keep her sitting up as much as you can - even when she naps, try to prop a rolled up blanket behind her head, or stick her in the swing. That keeps the stuff just going down instead of getting stuck.

Get her out this weekend for a few minutes to get some more fresh air. It does a baby good! And works wonders for Mommy's state of mind!

She sounds a bit better. She's been sleeping in her swing and the papasan. I hope this doesn't screw up her sleeping at night... oh I don't really care as long as she gets better.

My husband has been using that bulb thing to suck out the snots... for some reason I have a hard time doing this. But she's sounding better. Thanks.

Oh... babies shouldn't be allowed to get sick... that should be a rule!!!
