The plan tonight was go to food shopping with our car. DH is the driver in our marriage (I don't drive), he moved it last night to prevent from getting a parking ticket. We live in an apt. building where there is a garage but the list is endlessly a long wait, so we park it on the street with alternative siding. Tonight we went looking for it and NO CAR!

They wouldn't have towed it just for street cleaning. But its worth a shot.

I'm so sorry to hear. Definitely go back and check the signs and it is quite possible they towed it if it was illegally parked. This happened to me when my car was 4 days old and I parked in Woodside by the train station rushing....I didn't even have my full-time registration yet. But anyway...I hope things work out!

it was prob towed... the same thing happened to us twice! you have to call around, but i bet it was just towed.

Aren't you in Forest Hills? That's where we live.
Stolen cars used to be a HUGE problem here in the late 70s and early 80s (upscale neighborhood with expensive cars and lack of parking), but things have drastically improved.
A co-worker of mine lives near me and his car got towed (he thought it was stolen). Definitely update us! Hope it all works out
