we need to buy a new one and we are going to get a new washing machine while we are at it. So what brand does everyone use?

Kenmore. Products are great and price is always right. Available at Sears Good Luck!

We also have a Kenmore from Sears. However, it was a pretty basic model and I regret that decision. A load of laundry takes longer than the 60 minute timed cycle to dry sometimes and I feel I am wasting a lot of time drying the clothes for an hour and a half. Not to mention electricity. If I had to buy again, I would have spent a little more and gotten a higher model version. But the one we have is fine to get by.

just something to mention about Sears...ask for a discount and they will give it to you

I have new whirlpool w & d. I got them both scratch & dent for a really big savings. they both had minor cosmetic damage-DH fixed the dent on the washer & the dryer is dented on the side that goes against the washer. They both have full factory warranties & we saved about 40% on them combined.
I'm very happy with the washer-the dryer has a lint trap on top instead of inside & I'm still trying to get adjusted to that, but they work really well.

When I bought my condo, the sellers left us the washer and dryer. The dryer is also a basic model...I have the same problem..it take about 1 1/2 cycles to dry...so I waste time and enery. I even had Sears come in to look at it...they told me there is nothing I can do...except buy a new one. Wish I could afford it...LOL.
