Our Honeymoon plans

Our Honeymoon plans

So after reading some bad things about curacau we decided not to chance it (we want somewhere safe to explore) and decided to go with Hawaii.

So right now our plans are to fly out to CA on thursday and go to disney land for 3 days 2 nights (we won a free trip at an expo!!)
then fly on to Hawaii.

We are undecided about splitting it up and doing 2 night in Oaho (holalulu)
2 nights in Kaui
3 nights in Maui
or all 7 in Maui

and then back home from HI
My dad is giving us marriott points for the hawaii trip so we are only paying for park tickets in CA and flights.

Island hopping would add on an addt. $1000 for flight.

which would you do?

I think that's a lot of hopping. I would say all in Maui or do 4 in Maui 3 in Kauai and leave Oahu out.

It's definitely a lot of island hopping to do. Even though the flights are short you have to factor in time to get through security and check in. If you only have 7 nights, I would try to do just one or two islands.

i would stay in one place for the entire time

my brother JUST STAYED at the marriott in Maui and he LOVED it - he scheduled the trip for 6 days and ended up staying longer since he didnt want to leave! i have pics if you would like me to send some to you!

also, i am going to Napa for four days and then going to Hawaii for 8 nights - we didnt want to do any island hopping bc we just wanted to relax - we're staying on teh Big Island and just relaxing!!

I would leave Oahu out. Its cool with the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor and Waikiki, but its so built up it loses the Hawaii feel. Especially for a honeymoon.

Why is island hopping adding $1000 in flights. I got $65 flights from the Big Island to Maui on Hawaiin Air. You could even fly in and out of Maui on a major airline, and take Hawaiin Air to and from Kauai. It adds a little time onto getting to Kauai but would probably save money.

Yeah, I agree with the other posts. You don't want to feel like you are living out of your suitcase throughout your entire HM. You should stay in one place for about 2-3 days then venture out somewhere else. JMO. I was told the same thing about going to Ireland. Best of luck.

i priced it out on hawaiian air starting from CA to all the islands, its for both of us.

Re: Our Honeymoon plans

we either have to do that all 3 or only one becuase of the rewards package.

but i agree, i think we will end up doing just maui. the marriott in kaui got better reviews so i wanted there but i want maui too..lol i wish i could add on another week or 2!

but your all right, i will need MUCH relaxation when this is all over.

thanks for the advice!
