Our Message in a Bottle Invitations!

To go with our destination wedding, we decided to do Message in Bottles.
They were much easier than I thought and we are SO HAPPY with the results!!!!

They only cost about $3.25, major cost was the bottle & S&H. But we only needed about 20.

I got the bottles on line, with shipping boxes & bubble wrap.
They are bigger than ones you see in Michales, about 10' heigh.

Paper I got from quickpick in farmingdale

Paper edged and distress pad tea dye the paper.

Punched holes in starfish (from oriental trading) and tied to bottle with raffia (which I got from treasure island when they closed).

They look great! They are so creative and cute! I sowed them to my friend who's having a tropical destination wedding and she's so jealous. She's now calling her invitations 'boring'!

Hello,

I was wondering if you can give me some tips on how you did your invites (they are beautiful)? What paper did you use? What color did you buy? What was the size of the paper? Did you rip the edges and pat them at the edges with teabags? Im sorry so many questions but before I do everything I wanted to make sure I was doing it right...thanks for your help
