our rehearsal was friday... i almost had it out with an old lady!
so we had our rehearsal on friday... we got there super early, while there was another rehearsal going on. fh and i kinda forgot our marriage license and he had to go home to get it.
the woman running the rehearsal (THANK GOD she wont be there on our wedding day).. well she told me my FGs were too young to be in the bridal party, they must be of school age and demanded to know if father tom knew about it... when i said yes she said 'figures he loves kids'..
um.. how is it her business? she kept saying that the children will disrupt the service... okay, so what, children aren't allowed in church anymore?
THEN she tells my nephew (13) that he's too young to be a groomsmen, he has to be a JR and go to the back (he and my g/f are 2nd down the aisle) and walk before the RBs... um.. then WHO is my g/f going to walk with?
besides that---- NO, its MY choice, hell I could walk down first if I wanted to!
so my brother was like (mind you, he's #3 down) 'what does it matter how old he is and if he's a jr or not?'
she replies..
'etiquette sweety'
um.. YOU'RE YELLING IN A CHURCH! talk abotu etiquette!
so we continue, now at this point I don't know what happened with my nephew and brother.
so we practice the ceremony and she tells everyone to SIT!
FBIL is emptying his pockets so he didn't sit on his keys or phone and she SCREAMS--- SIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she tried to be funny and nice after i shot at her about my FGs and after everyone made comments about her (in front of her)..
i mean, we laugh about it now.. but we were all upset.
anyway... the good stuff.
dinner was delish, took a while to serve, but its not the kind of place to have a large gathering...
everyone loved their gifts. and we're very happy with the way everything came out. we can't thank FILs enough for throwing this for us... it was perfect (and comical)
now.. some pics.
