Well, we never thought that we would be participating in a review of a vendor, but we just had to share! Last night Ron and Liz went on a date. Where did they go? Louis XVI!!! What an experience. Yes, it was an experience. The service, the food, the atmosphere. Words can not describe. Below is a photo of one dessert!

My relatives have been there and they loved it. It is definitely 'upscale' in price but for a special night out.... Who cares??? Congrats on the love all over again. Sooo romantic! *sweet sigh*

Regarding Louis XVI....I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful time! I wanted to look into that place for my wedding, and a very good friend discouraged me b/c he said you had to drive through a really seedy neighborhood to get there

Claud I think your friend gave you incorrect info. I used live one block away from Louis XVI and while there are some homes you pass that are a bit rundown there is no way I would call it seedy. The restaurant is right on the water (Great South Bay) and the area around it is mostly parklike. There is a municipal pool nearby and the village dock and marina. Across the street is Shorefront Park which is a village park and a lovely place to take a walk, fly a kite or ride a bike. I grew up in Patchogue so I have to say that I am biased but the area is certainly acceptable. You should go have dinner there. The food is fantastic!
