Our saddest RSVP yet..

I haven't posted much personal stuff on this site but this is a special exception..

A little background info:
Vinny's (my fiance) cousin graduated from the Naval Academy in 2005. He is required to do various tours and whatnot.. Fine, we get that. Vinny and his cousin, Billy, are best of friends. VIn & I were devastated when we found out 4 months ago that Billy was being shipped to Fallujah on 4-12-07, the day before our wedding.

We sent him an invite regardless and today I got this response..

Written on the name line Billy wrote, 'I'll be in Fallujah dude. Rock out @ the wedding. - Billy'

I'm sitting here crying and do NOT want to give the RSVP to my FI, even though I know I have to.. I do NOT want sympathy- just pray! Please pray for his safety and all those that are over there already!!

Ugh, I'm sorry sweetie. I'm praying
He'll be back soon.

My FI and I pray everyday for our troops ..... his brother is on his way for his second duty and his cousin is on his way for his first

Man that stinks! Praying for his safe return!! FH has a good friend over there right now...but we get e-mail updates to all the good things they are up to like building schools and helping the civilians...so keep positive!...

Oh hun for you and Vin (and of course for Billy). Keep your chin up -- he's going to be okay and he'll be back before you know it. Keep him in your thoughts on your wedding day and i'm sure he'll be thinking about you and Vinny on your special day.

omg that ***** - im sitting here crying cause i definitely know the feeling of having aloved one miss out on things like that because of those circumstances (FH was in Fallujah 2x)
ill say a prayer for your cousin for a quick and safe return

aww thats horrible...i hope that he gets home as soon as he can and safely!
